In the glass, the wine pours a deep purple with armoas of black currant, blackberry, coffee and a bit of vanilla dust. The palate is fresh and effortless. It's an incredibly easy-drinking wine that will go well with or without food. Perfect with grilled meats. Great value.

The 2016 Syrah includes 10% total of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Tempranillo. It has a medium to deep ruby-purple color and nose of black cherry cordial, warm blueberries, graphite and woodsmoke with dark chocolate, olive, salami and dried violet. Medium to full-bodied, it gives up loads of juicy black and blue fruits with firm, pleasantly chewy tannins and a long finish. This is fantastic for the price point.

A no-nonsense Syrah, well-built and appealing for the snappy cherry and peppered herb flavors. Drink now through 2022. 7,000 cases made.

Qupe's Syrah Central Coast has long been a reliably delicious and affordable wine. It is that once again in 2016. Dark red/purplish berries, dried flowers and spice notes add nuance to a soft, fruity Syrah that will drink well right out of the gate. This is very good for what it is.

The entry level Syrah is the 2016 Syrah Central Coast and it's from multiple vineyards throughout the Central Coast. This deep ruby/purple-tinged effort gives up plenty of blackberry and cranberry fruits as well as lots of peppery herbs, medium body, good acidity, and a charming, easy drinking style. It's made in a fresher, elegant, almost crunchy style and has plenty to love.

A lighter expression of Syrah on both the nose and palate, this bottling starts with aromas of coffee, black currant and a bit of vanilla dust. The palate is fresh and easy but also somewhat simple, without much mouthfeel, structure or bold flavors.
