Vanilla, baking spice and dark raspberry aromas are out front. Ripe dark fruit flavors follow, speckled with plentiful barrel accents. A lovely sense of acidity ties it all together. Fruit and barrel play equal parts in the show.

Aromas of dusty blackberries, tart cherries, red flowers and nuanced spice notes waft from the glass of the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon The Estates. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is tarter in the mouth, with tannins driving the finish home with a firm and rigid grip. 1,200 cases made. Drink over the next few years.
