Full dark red. Cool, medicinal aromas of cherry, currant, black pepper, menthol and fresh herbs, with some oak showing. Supple, sweet and broad on the palate, with mouthfilling ripe cherry and red berry fruit flavors complicated by a whiff of rose petal. Also a big boy, and definitely a fruit bomb, this Cabernet Franc shows more successfully buffered alcohol than does the Sangio bottling. Finishes with a broad dusting of tannins and lingering red fruits and spices.
