A lovely full-bodied red with ruby red colour and bright violet reflections, intense bouquet with notes of cocoa, green spices, cloves, cinnamon, with wild berries and plum jam on the finish; the flavour is harmonious with dense, soft and mature tannins, balanced acidity and a lingering, moderately austere finish.

Dried flowers and crushed rocks blow off to reveal a core of musky black currants as the 2018 Montefalco Rosso opens in the glass. It's rich and potent on the palate, with saturating dark red fruits and sweet balsamic spices. Through it all, brisk acids maintain fantastic balance. The 2018 finishes structured with a mineral-tinge and hints of cocoa that slowly fade.
