From the heartland of American Whiskey, The James B. Beam Distilling Co. is proud to debut Clermont Steep, which will set the standard in American Whiskey’s next emerging category, American Single Malt Whiskey. 

A category not yet formally defined, but distinct from Scotch and Bourbon in that most of its spirits are comprised of 100% American Malted Barley and made at a single distillery. Freddie Noe, 8th Generation Master Distiller, Fred B. Noe Distillery, debuts his version of American Single Malt Whiskey with Clermont Steep. Distilled in our homestead of Clermont, KY using our house jug yeast and aged 5 years in new oak barrels (toasted, level 1 char), Clermont Steep highlights flavors of toffee, caramel & whole grain. 

Clermont Steep's singular taste comes from its singular mash bill: 100% American Malted Barley. This single malted grain, which has always been an integral part of the Beam family's whiskey making process, delivers a nuanced and complex liquid unlike any other.
