For our Napa Valley Quilt Fabric of the Land Red Wine, we work with grapes representing the diversity of varietals cultivated in the Napa Valley AVA. We source Petite Sirah, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Petit Verdot grapes from a spectrum of Napa Valley proper; from Oak Knoll in the South to Calistoga in the North. The result of blending these diverse varietals and regions yields wines of extraordinary concentration of flavor, color, and texture. While the majority of the fruit comes from the valley floor, we also relied on grapes grown on the foot-slopes to achieve the texture and grip we desired.

Quilt's 2021 The Fabric of the Land Red Wine is hugely dark in the glass, with grapey and appealingly fruit-forward notes of blueberries, blackberries and a touch of vanilla. A blend of Petite Sirah, Merlot, Zinfandel and Petit Verdot, it's medium to full-bodied, plush and soft, ripe and round, then softly dusty on the finish.

Whiffs of licorice and wood char in the aroma signal how potent and oaky this wine is, while deep blueberries, blackberries, cloves, cinnamon and smoke flavors dominate the palate. -
