Domaine Le Clos des Lumières Les Vignes de Papy Petit Verdot 2022

Les Vignes de Papy Petit Verdot is fun. The grape is more known for being a variety from the Bordeaux region. In that region, the grape expresses its strong tannin structure, the harshness only disappears over the years and therefore, it is often blended with other grapes in a smaller percentage.

Planted in a fine sand soil in an area with a lot more sunshine resulting in more complexity, finesse and no harshness at all. The sunshine also brings a bit more roundness in this wine, smoother tannins, making it very pleasant to drink… even young!
