Supple and fruity, the 2021 Le Canal des Grandes Pieces is a young red with no oak influence. As well as bouncy red fruits, there's a hint of smoky bacon and mint in this medium bodied, round and supple expression. It's well composed, easy to drink style but with more substance than a mere quaffer - that might be the 45-65-year-old wines talking. It's fresh with a slightly sandy tannic texture. Serve with charcuterie and friends.
