Cornerstone Oakville Station Red Wine 2017
Shows a mix of loam, tobacco, menthol and mulled plum and blackberry fruit flavors, with the loamy edge driving hard on the finish. More brute force than purity in the end and likely palate-fatiguing for more than a few folks. Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2022 through 2030. 355 cases made.
Spiced red and black currants, forest floor, dried herbs, and some old leather notes emerge from the 2017 Oakville Station Red Wine, a medium-bodied, supple, enjoyable red blend with light tannins, good overall balance, and solid length on the finish. It's a solid wine and should have a decade of longevity.
