An entirely barrel-fermented white, aged one year in French oak, 25% of it new, this stalwart from the producer shows the warmth and evenness of the vintage, reductive and nutty in its opening note of oak and white flower. A creamy, lush midpalate of buttered corn and fig follow, with a splash of acidity providing balanced verve.

The 2018 Chardonnay Unfiltered opens with pretty peaches and cream notes followed by hints of lemon drops, yellow apples and beeswax with a touch of toasted almonds. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers loads of apple and stone fruit layers with toasty/nutty accents and a lively line, finishing with lovely poise and freshness.

The 2018 Chardonnay Unfiltered offers a slightly restrained yet classic bouquet of stone fruits, white flowers, orange blossom, and spice. This carries to a medium-bodied, well-balanced Chardonnay that has a fresh, lively, yet still nicely textured mouthfeel. It's ideal for enjoying over the coming 2-4 years.
